Sailing, we were sailing...

Well not quite.... On Saturday night we boarded "The Lady" & cruised the broadwater for my nephew's 30th birthday! it was just beautiful with all the lights from Surfers Paradise & Marina Mirage... it was very cold, but it was nice & warm on the lower deck, which is where just about everybody stayed. I was a little nervous as the kids haven't been on a boat let alone on one at night, but they were fine, they were so good... Samuel was very tired & ended sleeping under our table.... I guess when you're tired you're tired! We had a great night, Tayla had a little groove on the dance floor with some of her cousins, I love the fact that they got her up to dance considering that most of them are only a few years younger than me LOL!! It was so nice just to sit back have a few drinks & catch up with family.

Hope you are all having a great week :)

as always click on them to see them larger...

My niece Jane...

Pretty lights of Surfers Paradise...

Tayla grooving with her cousin Stephanie....

Love this one, some old world charm! it reminded me of an image I'd seen from the 50's taken in a soda shop!

It's weird to see you guys wearing coats and boots while overhere we can still wear a short sleeved T-shirt (and a raincoat! - heavy thunderstorm this morning).

I love your 50's soda shop picture!

Love,
Tania

Hi Paulette, thanks for dropping in, come by anytime :)

Tania, thank goodness winter is on it's way out & soon we will be back to wearing our shorts, t shirts & pretty summer dresses... I can't wait, there was just something about the photo of Samuel that reminded of the picture I'd seen, I knew the finished image was right when hubby said it reminded him of the 50's & it looked like Sam was sitting in a soda shop :)

Thanks Tabitha, we did have a great night even though it was very chilly, but I'm glad we had the opportunity, it was something new for the kids :)

have an awesome Friday girls :)

I just love Tayla's outfit. She is so pretty. Looks like a fun night was had by all. Samuel's face looks all better now! That's what my boys do when they are tired. They just stop where they are standing, lie down and sleep!

Goald you all have a good time, I love family parties because you can be a dag and it doesnt matter.

Hi Tanya

What a perfect way to celebrate a 30th birthday - the backdrop with the lights from Surfers Paradise would have been stunning.

I am happy to hear that you could find some warmth on the lower deck and all that dancing would warm you up. Looks like heaps of fun was had by all the party-goers.

Lots of love
Elise
