1st Birthdays...

Having just celebrated my nephew's 1st birthday made me think back to Sam's, being our last baby I found it hard to believe that this was would be our last 1st birthday, for me it was a huge adjustment my baby was growing up & there would be no more 1st smiles, giggles, 1st words, 1st time sitting & 1st steps... everything my baby did for the first time would be the last time for me, crazy I know seeing as Sam is our 6th child, but I did feel quite sad leading up to his big day & I didn't really know why!!! then my Mum pointed out that it was the end of a chapter in my life, the chapter of pregnancy, birth & newborns had come to an end, and a new chapter was beginning! Looking back at Sam's 1st birthday this would have to be my favourite photo of the day, his cheeky smile & his cute dimple bring back beautiful memories & make me smile, so here he is on his 1st birthday & his most recent photo taken on Monday 22/10/07... he still has that cheeky smile & his dimple, cute as ever & he still makes me smile :) xx

More from the weekend...

After the 1st birthday party , hubby & I had a 50th to go to, excuse the last photo, but it is the only one hubby got of me so it's just going to have to do!!! (for those who are wondering I'm the one in the pink top & my eyes are closed) my handsome hubby next to the birthday boy Arty in the group shot & of course no party is one without the cake. I didn't really know anyone apart from hubby & 2 other people, so what's a girl to do but sit back & enjoy the vodka, probably not such a good idea as I had a headache from being in the sun most of the day, but we never seem to learn... & I paid for it the next day :) xx

Weekend...

Fun is what these guys had on Saturday... Having a blast at their cousin's 1st birthday party... beautiful weather, yummy food & great company, a wonderful day was had by all. The kids didn't want to leave, doesn't surprise me, all the kids get along so well, they never get bored when they're all together, not surprising there was at least 10-12 cousins on our side & that's not counting the older ones say early 20's & up or the babies!!!! LOVE big families. xx

Handsome Dude...

Totally cute that's what this boy is! Sam had his hair cut this morning, told the girl exactly how he wanted it & wasn't shy in telling her that she needed to cut it shorter when she asked him if it was ok!!! Yes he is very particular about his hair... it has to be just right and we have to have it spiky!! We then proceeded to buy some new shampoo etc., she tried to tell Sam which one she liked and he chose the other one in the pack, so love that about him, knows his own mind (well most of the time). So of course he wanted to have photos done so we could put them up on my blog... Sam's turning into quite the model, check out the poses, and you've got to love that smile :) xx

I've gone dark again,black foils & straight (it's still curly) hubby likes it curly... no surprises there! and besides now i can have both :) xx

His Eyes..

Samuel's eyes are just amazing... long thick lashes & they curl up, so unfair, actually all of our boys have beautiful lashes. These photos were taken in July o4 the close up of Sam's face was taken on his 4th birthday... I have always loved this photo of him & those EYES :) xx

Us...

At a friend's birthday party... ok I know I look a little under the weather, but the photo was taken just as I was starting to blink!!! We had the best night, actors came in and were doing the whole Fawlty Towers thing with Sybil, Basil & not forgetting Manuel, I have never laughed so much in all my life, the show was absolutely brilliant... best birthday party by far! xx

SAMUEL...

Love the way this kid loves ME... Samuel loves to sleep on my pillows, he loves to walk around in my favourite cardigan, he will wrap himself up in a blanket that has had me wrapped up in it, when asked why, he replies because it smells like Mummy, you mean Mummy's perfume NO!!!! it smells like MUMMY... this kid doesn't fault me.. he loves me for me! This kid brightens my day, my world, my LIFE.... I love you to moon & back and then some. xx

SURF'N THE POOL...

Sam having a blast "surfing the pool" now that he is very confident in the water, his willingness to try just about anything his brothers do, is starting to scare me just a little... but I must say it is great to see Samuel having fun in the pool, he was a little unsure of the water to begin with & now there is no stopping him. xx

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PINKY....

How cute is this kid?? Totally LOVE the way Tayla is holding her pinky while she blows bubbles... so proper wouldn't you say!

Beautiful Friendship

Today I caught up with my gorgeous friend Rachael & her beautiful girls Maddison & Ainsleigh... I always feel like we just pick up where we left off last time. Tayla & Samuel had fun catching up with girls too!!! So after coffee's, iced chocolates & chocolate muffins we said goodbye :( a part of me always feels sad when we say those words!! Rach, I miss you everyday... spending time with you makes me realize how lucky I am to have such a "beautiful friendship" & I know that it is one for all time xx no photos from today, so I will leave you with these. xx
