A scenic drive...

To Byron Bay is what we got up to on Sunday... stopping first at Hastings Point, then on to Byron Bay. We hadn't been to Byron Bay before but we will definitely be going back... it was picture perfect!! and we had perfect weather to match!! We had fish & chips on the beach (naturally) then took a drive up to the Byron Bay lighthouse... we spent ages up there.. we walked out to the most Easterly point of the Australian Mainland.... WOW the view was incredible, we even managed to see Sea Turtles from all the way up there! On our way home we stopped at Coolangatta for drinks (& a much needed coffee for mum!!!) just as the sun was setting... the sky was just amazing, we stayed till it had gone down then made our way home... we had an absolutely wonderful day! xxx

Hastings Point...

Byron Bay...

The most Easterly point of Mainland Australia...

We must have seen at least 3-4 Sea Turtles...

Sunset-Coolangatta Beach...

I know this one breaks all the rules of photography... but sometimes the rules need to be broken... maybe that's why I love it so much!!

Oh, wow! I too think Byron Bay is stunning, and the lighthouse at sunset takes on a beautiful pink hue. I used to live in Brisbane, but would go down the coast as often as I could, it is simply a perfect place! Thank you for sharing these photos!
