15/8/07 marks the beginning of the teenage years for Jordan... when you were born you spent sometime in intensive care, you required oxygen 24/7 but not when I held you!!! doctors discovered a heart murmur, so off you went by ambulance to Prince Charles where they discovered a hole in your heart... at this time they were unsure as to whether or not you would need open heart surgery, thankfully you didn't. After several weeks they said we could take you home, what a relief... as you grew the hole in your heart got smaller and you were finally given the all clear around 18 months... Iooking at you now you would never know your uncertain start to life... Happy Birthday Jordy, we love you :) xxx

Well not quite in this photo... this was the day before your birthday, you were home for the day so we (ok I) decided to get some photos of your last day being a non-teenager, we have some really great shots which mean even more to me now....Monday 27/8 3.30pm you were off to the skate park, have fun be careful were my last words to you!! several hours later you hadn't come home it was getting dark & I jumped in the car to look for you ready to kick your butt for being late... I drove around, couldn't find you, drove around some more still couldn't find you anywhere went home thinking we must have just missed each other NO you still weren't home... Dad's turn, he looked everywhere for you, your friend said you had left his place 1/2 an hour ago (5.30) panic set in, Dad came home you still weren't here... he left, went everywhere, by now it is nearly 6.30 & very dark, he came back & said one more time around then we bring in the police, my heart sank, I felt sick & I thought that I had lost you forever... a few minutes later Dad was back & you were with him.... I have never felt so many emotions in such a short period of time, today even as I write this I have tears, knowing it could have all been different, very different... my heart is heavy with grief for all those parents who were not so lucky. Tell your loved ones you love them everytime they go to school, work or out to play & never take them for granted. xx

What can I say... this girl amazes me, Tayla is sweet, smart & sassy all rolled into one... how lucky am I? it is a privilege to be her Mother.
Purlingbrook Falls... such a shame we are in the middle of a drought, imagine how beautiful this waterfall would look if we only had some water!
This view was amazing, just a shame it wasn't a nice clear day... it was absolutley freezing, we were only there for about 15 mins & my fingers were burning it was so cold!! but it was worth the view.

In the family photo the guy in the blue shirt is Roy's uncle Rob from Holland. The otters were so cute & very quick, the majestic Tiger & me with a macaw, (I think that's what he was) & a black cockatoo man this boy was noisy... what a great experience :)

Sam having a blast on Currumbin beach... poor seagull, Sam was relentless in chasing it, needless to say he slept all the way home!
Samuel took to Bella right away, so much so that he tried to convince us that he should have a puppy just like her!, he even tried to convince my niece that she should let Bella come home with him!!!! Nice try so was not going to happen, I do love these photos... they make me want to go & buy a puppy, but not today!
